Born out of experience

American&Legal Spain was founded by Carlos Lorenzo, a licensed Spanish attorney who has lived across Spain as well as in the United States (Oregon and Arkansas). His time working at a U.S. law firm gave him first-hand insight into the American culture and the U.S. legal system, and inspired him to pursue a Ph.D. in U.S. Constitutional Law to deepen his expertise in transatlantic legal relations.

This unique journey allows Carlos to bridge both cultures, recognizing not only their shared values but also the important contributions Americans bring to Spanish society. By combining his Spanish legal expertise with an authentic understanding of U.S. clients, he offers guidance that is both practical and culturally attuned.

Today, as principal attorney, Carlos personally supervises every case and collaborates with attorneys, tax advisors, CPAs, and relocation specialists. Together, they provide comprehensive support, always with a focus on the unique needs of American expatriates, to ensure every client receives clear, tailored solutions and true peace of mind in their new home.
